If you are walking through a Korean city on a rainy day, you won’t have to worry about your umbrella leaving a puddle when you go inside to a warm and dry shelter like McDonalds.
In most businesses, they will have little plastic bag dispensers by the door that you can take for your umbrella. The employees don’t have to mop as much and they get even more advertising by putting their name on the bag.
I went to a ramen shop for lunch and after I left, I couldn’t figure out where the trash can was for the plastic bags. Cue cute ramen chef guy to point the clueless foreigner towards the trash can that was right next to the dispenser.
I’m sure it won’t be the last time I feel like an idiot in front of attractive Korean dudes.
